Queeny Park was once part of the estate of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar M. Queeny. Mr. Queeny was the former president and chairman of the board of Monsanto Chemical Company, which was founded by his father. There are over 7 miles of trail at Queeny Park. The trails have been constructed using both paved and gravel surfaces. Terrain is hilly with a few steep grades. Woods, old fields, ponds and lakes make Queeny a wildlife oasis. With few developments within the park boundaries, Queeny is big enough to give you a feel of getting away from it all despite being located in a dense, suburban area. More detailed directions: From I-270 take the Manchester Rd. (Hwy 100) exit and proceed west. Turn right at Weidman Rd. Park entrance is a short distance on the right.
